Contest History

The Michigan Pet and Trainer Contest was founded in 2016. Originally, it was started as a feeder contest for Great Lakes Pup and Trainer (GLPT), under the name Great Lakes Pup and Trainer Michigan (GLPTMI). When GLPT ended in 2019, the contest continued on under a new name as a stand-alone title, Michigan Pup & Trainer.  The 2020 and 2021 contests however, due to global health concerns like much of the world, were put on hold. In 2024, it was announced that the contest will continue on under its current name as it welcomes all walks of animal and pet role play to the platform.
